Privacy
Muntanya uses a same-origin analytics pixel for internal analytics. It uses no external analytics scripts and sets no cookies.
What is recorded
- Pages visited and completion of a meaningful map interaction.
- Device type (mobile or desktop) and country of origin.
- An external referring site and UTM campaign identifiers when present.
- Selected map layers and short identifiers for map actions such as location, daylight, area selection, and place type.
Muntanya does not send map coordinates, place names, free-form text, email addresses, or other directly identifying information to analytics.
Visitor identifier
No IP address is stored. The server derives a 10-character anonymous identifier using SHA-256 from the IP address, current date, and a monthly salt. The identifier rotates every 24 hours, the salt rotates monthly, and the IP address is never stored. This prevents tracking between days.
Legal basis and retention
The legal basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: improving the quality of Muntanya. Analytics records are retained indefinitely as anonymous data under GDPR Recital 26.
Hosting and disclosure
Cloudflare is the hosting provider. Analytics data is not shared with third parties.
